Bella's Boutique Hotel

The owner cares. Many don’t. She wants to operate a comfortable place and have happy guests. Any issues identified and calmly communicated were quickly responded to and followed up on in short order, either next day, same day, or even immediately if appropriate. This is an older building in an old small sleepy town in rural South Carolina, and the place is pretty barebones and in the process of being gradually improved. The weekly rate seems to be priced per those aspects while the place down the street is priced a decent amount higher. There are some cheap and easy improvements that could be made to level this place up to a very solid option, some of which are already in the works, but it’s already a decent solution to those with basic needs, especially in an area with limited options for miles. It's important to understand the location of the town vs the location of the hotel in the town. The town is not located in or near anything special or "happening", but it's quiet, rural, and non-touristy. If the town suits your needs/wants, then the hotel is right in the middle of their downtown (a full quarter/half block of it) with streetlight, security cameras and a smartlocked door in front, but this isn't a downtown with bars, nightlife or transients so it should be pretty quiet and safe. The street-side rooms may be loud with road noise for some guests until traffic calms down in the evening. The back rooms are much quieter, especially the corner rooms away from the microwaves, if that’s important to you.

The town has a relaxed vibe, with charming brick sidewalks and most things within walking distance. The whole area has a unique charm—especially Bella’s! The space is well-maintained, offering clean bedding, fresh towels, hot water, updated rooms, a coffee bar, and off-street parking. Check-in is seamless with an Airbnb lock, and security is a plus with cameras monitoring the common areas and room entry. I’m glad I came across this place—thank you!"

Great little rustic old style boaring house they updated & each personal room with individual bathrooms. I only wish they would have informed us to bring our own coffee, to use in the public kitchen area. They did offer several types of tea & all the fixens.

We really enjoyed our stay in this historic boutique hotel. The staff was super, super kind and the room was clean. It is an old building and the rooms are retrofitted..if you are looking for modern state of the art. this isn’t it. If you are looking for clean, authentic and affordable l, then you’ll love it.

A good hotel but could be better. No bar soap, no closet space in my room at least. The room was nice with my own personal mini fridge, ac and bathroom. I enjoyed my stay and will definitely be visiting again in the future.

Some rooms are small.. No room service if you stay more than 1 day

My husband and I are currently here. It has been renovated so guests aren't sharing bathrooms anymore. Each room has its own bathroom. Place is nice and clean, owner is very respectful. It's not Hilton hotel but I'd rather be here, it's relaxing. Just sucks that it's an hour from the beach.

Very unique hotel situation. We stayed two nights. Each room has a bathroom. There is a common TV watching room and a common kitchen area. We used the place as a center point around which we visited other parts of South Carolina.
